2017 Dewey’s Readathon Wrap-Up

Gilmore Girls Reading.jpg

I wanted to post this before today, but whatcha gonna do?

This wasn’t my best year with the Readathon. To begin, I didn’t get up until 8:30 am and for me, the start time was 7 am. Then, I took the time to catch up on the mini-challenges that I had missed. That took me up to 9 am and then it was time for the 9 am challenge. Basically, I felt like I took more time with the mini-challenges and social media than I did actually reading.

This year, I finished reading Saga, Vol. 7 by Brian K. Vaughn and Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco. I had started both of those selections prior to Oct 21st but finished them both during the readathon. After those, I started reading Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill. I ended my night around midnight and about halfway through Joe Hill.

My Stats:

Books read (began, ended, finished) – 3

Total pages read – Approximately 725

Mini-challenges completed – Nine (I think)

Prizes won – One! That’s right. I won an hourly prize. Hour 8, hehehe. My third year participating and my first prize.

Next year, I want to be more organized so that maybe I won’t take so much time with the mini-challenges. All in all, I had a great readathon. How about you? Did you participate? Tell me about your readathon in the comments.
